Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is begging her supporters to keep sending money as she faces a federal investigation into her citizenship and finances, portraying the probe as an effort by President Donald Trump to intimidate her before the midterms.

In a video message, Omar thanked donors and warned of an expensive “fight” following the search of her Washington, D.C., home more than a week earlier.

Omar said donations would help her “fight Trump and his administration for trying to intimidate me and so many other people right before the midterm elections.”

Her appeal continued a political retaliation argument she has repeatedly advanced.

However, the investigation began under former President Joe Biden’s administration.
