The Biden administration announced a $200 million grant going to a lithium battery company that is part of his green deal program. The company operates partly in the US, but is owned and operated primarily from China. DOE Secretary Jennifer Granholm called the investment in Microvast holdings an investment to “supercharge the private sector to ensure our clean energy future is American-made.”
