Conservative journalist and influencer Nick Sortor was arrested in Portland on Thursday night for what appears to be the great crime of being jumped by left-wing anti-ICE rioters. Sortor had been attending the “protest” for the last few days, documenting the anarchy.

Portland has been ground zero for Antifa violence stretching back years, with parts of the city being effectively safe zones for left-wing agitators. In recent weeks, President Donald Trump has stated his intent to deploy troops in defense of the city’s federal property, including the besieged ICE facility in question.

So what happened to Sortor? There’s still a bit of dot-connecting happening, but one video appears to show him being surrounded by left-wing rioters. Later, he can be seen being put in handcuffs.
